Urinary apparatus

The urinary tract consists of the kidneys, bladder, urethra and ureters (i.e. the excretory channels) and is substantially responsible for conveying outside the human body and eliminating, through urine, all the metabolic wastes, foreign substances and products of drug metabolism (metabolites).
The"cornerstones" of the urinary system are the kidneys: located on either side of the last thoracic vertebrae, in the abdominal cavity. The kidneys are composed in their turn of millions of microscopic elements, nephrons, inside which the process of blood purification takes place.
Some substances contained in the blood, such as glucose and some water, are reabsorbed, while the remaining liquids containing the "waste products", moving from the kidney, through the ureter, are conveyed to the
. The latter, placed in the rear part of the pelvis, collects urine and holds it until the pressure exerted by the abundant presence of liquid on the internal mucosa starts the muscular mechanism which leads to the expulsion of urine.

From the above, one can easily understand the importance of maintaining the various components of the urinary system, which perform this vital function of "purification" and "disposal" of waste substances, in a healthy condition.

To help this complex system in its job of "cleaning" the blood and conveying its waste outside, an integration with products containing substances and nutrients useful to improve the natural disposal of liquids may sometimes prove to be a valuable support. Plants such as birch, nettle, couch grass, bearberry and goldenrod, for example, can facilitate the draining of liquids and the general functionality of the urinary tract. Other plants, such as mauve, are instead used in herbal medicine for their emollient and soothing effect on the urinary tract.
Finally, the synergistic presence of coneflower and baptisia formulation may be a further support, as they are useful to promote the body's natural defences.
Dr Giorgini offers a wide range of products designed to support the well-being of the urinary tract. In such products, these plants are used alone or in synergy to achieve the best possible efficiency. From TMGs (herbal teas made with Dr Giorgini's method) to liquid and tablet formats, you can choose the product most suitable to your needs.
